About U-Cut Flowers (top^)
Q: Do I need to make reservations to come cut flowers?
A: Our cutting garden is completely self-serve and open dawn to dusk, seven days a week, June through September.
Q: How big is your U-Cut garden?
A: The Cutting Garden is a full acre of blooms with more than 30 rows, each 100 feet long. We grow many dozens of types of flowers. Many brides come cut their flowers here for offsite weddings.
Q: How close to the wedding do you recommend cutting?
A: I usually cut flowers on Wednesday for a Friday wedding, but you should probably allow one additional day to make sure you have plenty of time to enjoy arranging your flowers. Select flowers that are about ¾ open. Using sharp snips, cut the flowers in the cool of the morning or evening, never in the heat of the day. Cut the flower stems at least 12” long; shorter stems may not work well for some arrangements. Strip the bottom half of the stems clean so the leaves don’t touch the water. Let the flowers stand in a cool room, such as your garage, for 24 hours in clean 2-gallon buckets half-filled with cool, clean water, then arrange your bouquets the next day.
Q: What is your pricing for U-Cut Flowers?
A: Please visit our pricing page for current information.
